What is PRE?

Our bespoke philosophy, religion and ethics programme (PRE), will encourage students to understand and appreciate the value of self, of others, of family and community and of the environment. Pupils will have access to an extensive, enrichment curriculum which includes a range of visits, day and residential, in all year groups.

The course covers all the major faiths, embrace decision making, ethical choice and the nature of personal responsibility for action. Readiness for employment, in its broadest sense with an emphasis on core and personal skills, is an element of the Philosophy and Ethics course. As the students mature their experience of the wider world will broaden through work related learning and increasing opportunities to learn off site.

Our bespoke PRE-curriculum includes visits to institutions across all major faiths and our schools have strong links with various organisations from local churches, to the Combined Cadet force. Our aim is to make the students responsible citizens for their respective communities by providing a holistic experience at school.
